Welcoming Nick Murray as Account Director

We are pleased to welcome Nick Murray as Account Director, further strengthening Abintus’ relationship management, project leadership and business development capabilities.

With a track record of scaling customer acquisition and optimising paid media investment, Nick is passionate about helping clients unlock fresh growth opportunities.

Nick brings extensive experience in growth strategy, media planning and implementation, and marketing leadership. He also holds a distinct advantage in having held roles at advertisers, media agencies, and auditors.

Advertiser Experience

As Marketing Strategy & Media Investment Lead at Sky, the UK’s largest advertiser, for five years, Nick led the centralised marketing strategy and media planning across Sky’s vast portfolio and £300m+ annual media spend.

Working with multiple marketing teams, GroupM, econometricians, and consultants, he delivered significant improvements in marketing efficiency & effectiveness, whilst also improving strategy & processes.

More recently, Nick was the Growth Director at GoHenry, the UK’s number one debit card and app for kids for three years. Here, he managed the complete marketing mix and multiple agency partners. During his tenure, GoHenry doubled brand awareness whilst improving revenue and cost-per-acquisition metrics across the UK, US and EU.

These leadership positions at large and scale-up companies has armed Nick with a deep understanding of the challenges advertisers regularly face - and the means to tackle them effectively.

Agency Experience

Nick also brings agency-side experience operating as Media Planning Director at agency groups such as Dentsu (Carat, Vizeum) and Publicis (Blue449) leading key global clients such as Microsoft, Mondelez, KFC, General Motors and Marks & Spencer.

He was also central to the agency pitch process, the development of proprietary tools, and managing media owner relationships; knowledge that has proved invaluable throughout his career.

 

 

Media Auditor Experience

Nick is also directly familiar with the world of media auditing being a former Media Consultant at Ebiquity. Here, he analysed media data to provide clients with actionable insights for improving their media investment decisions and achieving business outcomes.

Confidently presenting findings and providing data-driven recommendations, Nick was a key contact for a long list of recognisable global brands including Apple, Amazon, P&G, GSK, Carlsberg, American Express, Disney,and Expedia.

With a sharp eye for insights, he enjoys cutting through complex data to uncover clear trends and enable quick, confident decision-making. Balancing strategic big-picture thinking with a drive to improve processes and ways of working, Nick has a clear focus on delivering better outcomes.

Alongside his client work, he champions good working practices and mental wellbeing, believing that high-performing teams are built on balance, support, and a healthy culture.

Outside of work, Nick lives in Hertfordshire. He is the proud father to two children and enjoys being outdoors where he can often be found running or cycling long distances. To relax, Nick enjoys music, video games, cooking and movies.
